Translation, if it is done well, becomes “invisible.”
By joining T4K, translators also become invisible ambassadors serving the very real, very visible needs of children from all parts of the world.
T4K's inaugural project uses the “invisible art” of translation to make the lives of children visible to the world and then to make a vital difference in those lives.
This and future projects are our essential means of raising funds and using T4K's network potential.
By children. For children.
For our initial project, we will publish a book of stories, written by underprivileged children from around the world. The book will be translated into different languages and made available in as many countries as possible. Proceeds of the sale of this book will be used to directly address problems that many of the world’s children face each day.
Future projects include:
- Publishing projects in other media, such as CDs, with the aim of helping children
- Developing a system of providing translators as cultural ambassadors for the benefit of children’s rights.
- Creating a link with appropriate charities to provide funds for the care and well-being of children.
- Developing a corporate and private sponsorship program to drive our efforts and advance our mission.
Book Project Stages:
Stage 1 - Concept team creates book presentation DONE!
Stage 2 - T4K management creates guardian consent form, press release and announcement DONE!
Stage 3 - The Translation Management Team translates these documents DONE!
Stage 4 - The Collection Team launches collection leaders around the world to book material IN PROGRESS
Stage 5 - The Editorial Team selects stories to be included in book
Stage 6 - The Translation Management Team launches translation of book material in many different languages
Stage 7 - The T4K book is published!!!!!
Stage 8 - All proceeds are donated to needy children
