    1. What makes T4K different from all the other charities that want to help children? Our approach. As translators and people with linguistic skills, we are located around the globe and we have the tools and network to recognize pockets of need and help directly. Also, since we work with words, we can focus our projects on language-oriented approaches that help children as well as increasing awareness of children’s problems.

    2. How much of the money actually goes to help the children rather than to the administration and management of your organization? All of the members of our organization, including officers, are volunteers. We get no money, and earn no pay. Other than paying for legal fees, accounting, advertising and other essentials all the funds we receive goes toward helping children.

    3. What is your mission? Our mission is four-fold: 1) helping the world’s disadvantaged children, 2) using our unique skills and experience in the world arena to provide volunteer translators as linguists and intercultural ambassadors, 3) becoming a voice for the world’s children and 4) enhancing the potential of children from all cultures.

    4. I’m a translator and want to help. How much time will I have to give to T4K? That is entirely up to you. You can give a little or a lot of your time and skills, give monetary donations or provide services that we need. We welcome translators from all over the world to help in whatever way you can.

    5. Must I be a translator to help? No. We accept help from anyone, to whatever degree you are able to give it. We have many members and participants who are not translators, but appreciate the power of language and love children.

    6. How can I join T4K? There are three ways to become active with T4K.
      1) You can become a Member by paying a membership fee of 30 euros per year. (about $37). As a Member, you can decide to help with translations, organizing or other tasks. You will have the right to vote at general meetings.

      3) A Participant can volunteer to help with translations or other worthy projects. No fee is required, but Participants do not have voting rights .
